Climate Change AI Community: The world’s first true stochastic climate physical-risk system goes open source.

RiskThinking.ai has launched the Climate Risk Commons, providing non-commercial researchers free access to their physical climate-risk engine. The initiative includes open frameworks, reference pipelines, and tools for advanced risk modeling, asset-level exposure analysis, and next-generation CMIP7 stress testing. Nineteen global institutions have already joined the platform, notably including research partners in Sweden alongside peers from Canada, the UK, Germany, and beyond.

Idriss Duramany Koromah is the Executive Director of Coastal Communities for Mangrove Protection – Sierra Leone (CCMP-SL), leading mangrove restoration, coastal resilience, and women’s livelihood initiatives across more than 50 coastal communities. Holding an MSc in Rural Development and Natural Resource Management from SLU in Sweden, he brings deep expertise in nature-based solutions, FPIC-based community engagement, and Verra VCS+CCB certified blue carbon finance. Idriss joins the Climate AI Nordics community to explore how AI can advance satellite-based mangrove monitoring, enhance blue carbon MRV, and make community-generated field data accessible to funders while preserving local ownership.
