Postdoc in Climate Extremes & Population Health

Uppsala University’s Centre for Impacts of Climate Extremes (CLIMES) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher in climate extremes & population health.
The position focuses on understanding how extreme weather events (heatwaves, floods, droughts) impact human health, particularly in vulnerable groups such as pregnant women.
Key tasks include:
- Integrating large-scale climate and health datasets
- Applying advanced statistics and machine learning (including non-linear and spatial models)
- Working with international collaborators on global health and climate resilience
Applicants should hold a PhD in epidemiology, climate science, data science, or a related field, with strong quantitative skills, experience with large datasets/HPC, and a strong publication record.
